The seminar on “Drug Abuse and illicit Trafficking” under “NASHA MUKT BHARAT ABHIYAAN” organized by Malla Reddy Technical Campus (Deemed to be University) on 22nd November 2025 at 11.00 A.M.
The institution organized an awareness programme under the NASHA Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, an initiative aimed at building a drug-free society and empowering youth to make healthy choices. The event sought to sensitize students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and motivate them to take a strong stand against addictive substances.
As part of the campaign, an Awareness Session was conducted for B. Tech students by Mr. S. Dinesh Reddy, Application Development Assistant, Accenture.The speaker briefed to students on the physical, psychological and social consequences of drug consumption. The session highlighted the importance of early awareness, peer support and responsible decision-making. Information regarding government helplines, rehabilitation support and community-based de-addiction initiatives was also shared.
Following the awareness session, all students participated in the “NO MORE DRUGS” Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and encouraging others to stay away from drugs. The pledge emphasized responsibility, self-discipline and the role of youth in creating a drug-free campus and society. Students took the pledge collectively in their respective Smart Classrooms, creating an atmosphere of unity and determination.
The programme successfully reinforced the message of drug-free living and strengthened the institution’s efforts toward promoting student well-being and responsible citizenship. The initiative also aligned with national objectives of preventing substance abuse among youth and fostering safe learning environments. Through this event, the institution continues its commitment to holistic development and societal responsibility.
