Free Dental Checkup Camp

A Free Dental Checkup Camp was organized at Malla Reddy Technical Campus (MRTC), A Constituent unit of Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), on 18th March 2026 at Seminar Hall 10.00 A.M. to 04.00 P.M. in collaboration with Malla Reddy Institute of Dental Sciences for Women in the college premises. The camp was conducted under the guidance of the National Service Scheme (NSS) with the noble objective of promoting oral health awareness and providing basic dental care services to students and the surrounding community.

Objectives of the Camp:

The main objectives of organizing the dental camp were:

  • To create awareness about oral hygiene and dental care
  • To provide free dental check-ups and consultations
  • To identify dental problems at an early stage
  • To educate people on preventive measures
  • To encourage regular dental visits

Planning and Organization:

The camp was well-planned and organized by NSS volunteers along with faculty coordinators. Prior to the event, awareness was created through posters, announcements, and student networks. Necessary arrangements such as seating, registration counters, and basic medical equipment were made to ensure smooth functioning.

A team of experienced dentists and healthcare professionals was invited to conduct the camp. Volunteers actively supported the team by managing registrations, guiding participants, and maintaining discipline throughout the program.

Activities Conducted:

The following activities were carried out during the camp:

  • Free dental check-ups and diagnosis
  • Oral hygiene awareness sessions
  • Demonstration of correct brushing techniques
  • Distribution of basic dental care tips

Participants were examined for common dental problems such as:

  • Tooth decay (cavities)
  • Gum diseases
  • Tooth sensitivity
  • Bad breath (halitosis)
  • Misalignment issues

Participation and Response:

The camp witnessed 1000 enthusiastic participants includes students, faculty members and nearby residents. A large number of individuals benefited from the free services provided. The response was highly positive and participants appreciated the efforts taken by the organizers.
