CODE MARATHON - 2026
The Code Marathon was successfully conducted at Malla Reddy Technical Campus (MRTC), A constituent unit of Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), in collaboration with Talentio on February 13, 2026. Building on the institution’s tradition of fostering innovation—following the success of previous initiatives like the NIAT × Base44 Hackathon—this event was designed as a high-intensity “Faceoff” to test students’ technical agility, logic and rapid problem-solving capabilities.
Objectives
The primary goals of the Code Marathon were:
- To promote competitive programming and technical excellence among students.
- To provide a platform for students to apply theoretical knowledge to real-time coding challenges.
- To identify top-tier talent within the campus for further advanced training and placement opportunities.
Event Execution
The event took place in the campus computer labs, with a high volume of student participation. The atmosphere was one of focused innovation, as students worked through complex algorithms and coding tasks.
Key Highlights:
- Format: A 60-minute intensive “Faceoff” challenge.
- Participation: Students from various engineering streams participated in a synchronized coding environment.
- Technology Focus: The marathon emphasized logical efficiency and clean code within a time-constrained window.
Impact & Outcomes
The Code Marathon provided students with hands-on exposure to competitive environments, enhancing their:
- Problem-Solving Skills: Students tackled real-world logic puzzles under pressure.
- Speed and Accuracy: The “Marathon” format encouraged efficient coding practices.
- Motivation: To recognize excellence, Certificates of Achievement were awarded to the Top 10 performers, encouraging a culture of healthy competition.
Conclusion
The event concluded as a resounding success, aligning with the university’s experiential learning objectives. By partnering with industry-aligned organizations like Talentio, MRTC continues to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry-level technical proficiency.
