One Day Industrial Visit to C-DAC Technology

The One Day Industrial Visit to C-DAC Technology Showcase at IICT, Hyderabad was organized by Malla Reddy Technical Campus (MRTC), A Constituent unit of Malla Reddy Vishwavidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), on 18th March 2026 at 10.00 A.M. to 04.00 P.M. The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), a scientific society under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), celebrated its 39th Foundation Day at the IICT Hyderabad campus.

Objectives of the Event

    • To commemorate the 39 years of technological excellence and innovation by C-DAC. 
    • Exascale Computing 
    • Quantum Computing and Communications 
    • Artificial Intelligence (AI) 
    • Internet of Things (IoT) 
    • Next-generation cybersecurity 
    • To provide a platform for knowledge sharing among researchers, students, and industry professionals. 
    • To showcase C-DAC’s technological products and innovations to the public. 
  • To inspire students, including MRTC participants, to explore careers in advanced technology domains.

On the occasion, C-DAC also organised a one-day workshop titled ‘Technology Frontiers and Directions’, focused on emerging technologies namely Exascale Computing, Quantum Computing and Communications, Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), next-generation cybersecurity and their advancements, applications and future directions. The C-DAC Tech Showcase was opened to the general public and received an overwhelming response, with over 1,000 participants experiencing C-DAC products firsthand.

Expert Talks:
Industry professionals and researchers delivered insightful talks on emerging trends, real-world applications, and future opportunities in advanced computing domains. 

Networking Opportunities:
The session provided a platform for students, including MRTC participants, to interact with experts, researchers, and industry representatives. 

Industry Connect:
Strengthened collaboration between academia and industry by facilitating discussions on current technological challenges and career opportunities.

Conclusion

The 39th Foundation Day celebration of C-DAC was a successful and impactful event that highlighted the organization’s leadership in advanced computing. The workshop and tech showcase effectively bridged the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical applications, leaving participants especially students with valuable insights into the future of technology.

About 200 Students participated from MRTC Campus in the event.
